 Materials:  

    several toys in a bag           
                 
 Introduction:

This lesson should follow the first lesson on sharing. Ask the children if they remember what it means to share and allow them to briefly discuss what they know about sharing.

Objective/Purpose:

Child will practice sharing.

Procedure:

1. Show the children the bag of toys and select one child to close his or her eyes and choose a toy from the bag.

2. Have the child show the toy to others and choose another friend to share the toy with.

3. Have the two children show the class how to share the toy. Encourage turn taking and using appropriate words to communicate their needs as they play.

4. Let the class watch and talk about how the two children shared.

5. Repeat with two other children.

Practice & Extended Activities:

Children can draw pictures or write in their journals about sharing experiences they have had.
