 Introduction:

Ask children if they remember what it means to share and allow them to discuss briefly. Talk about how sharing is a part of helping others.

Objective/Purpose:

Child will practice helping a friend.

Procedure:

1. Ask children what it means to help others. Ask them to give examples of ways that they help their friends.

2. Select two children to show how they can share and have them come to the front of the class.  Ask one child to show how they would help the other child do a task such as helping tie a show or zip a coat.

3. Repeat this with two other children.

Practice & Extended Activities:

Children can draw pictures or write in their journals about helping experiences they have had.
