 Materials:  

      Paper & marker
 
 Introduction:

What does it mean to be mean? Allow discussion.

Objective/Purpose:

Child will hear examples of being mean.

Procedure:

1. Let's talk about ways kids can be mean. Think of things that you have seen or that have happened to you.

2. Write out children's responses on the paper. Common answers are:

     - Calling someone a name

     - Wrecking someone's work

     - Taking something that does not belong to you

     - Hitting, joking, pinching, kicking

     - Not letting someone play with you
