This course is taught by a Pediatric Behavioral
Specialist with nearly 30 years experience working
with children and their families, specializing in
Autism, PDD, and Reactive Attachment Disorder.
The course offers:
- Information about the suspected causes of
Autism
- Types of Autism and Pervasive Developmental
Disorder
- Behavioral symptoms of Autism and the
meaning behind the behavior
- Strategies for working with children with
Autism
- New strategies based on a Brain-Based
Approach
Work at your own pace. Receive individualized help

if you have never taken an online course or do not
have college experience, you can master the material
in this course. It is written in user-friendly
format and easy to understand terms.
Upon completion of the course, you can earn

or achievement, depending on how well you do.
The course is divided into 5 lessons, each with
assignments, where you will guided in exploring
different intervention strategies through other
resources. There is also a short 10 point quiz
assigned to each lesson, but don't worry, the
quizzes are for learning purposes. You can retake
the quizzes as many times as you like until you
master the material. The final requirement is a 30
point Final Exam. |

Points are assigned for

requires a posting to the message board and
completing a short quiz based on the material
presented in the lesson. You may retake quizzes that
you do poorly on, as mastery of the material is the
goal.
Students may retake quizzes
until the desired grade is achieved. |
